Since you may find the structure confusing with all the time shifts and different persepctives, the events take place over a Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday evening a GALA is being held by The Sisterhood.
I hope you enjoy, I would welcome comments.
(Entangled Version)
Prologue
‘In 1935 and 1936, Schrödinger published a two-part article in the Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society in which he discussed and extended an argument by Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen. The Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) argument was, in many ways, the culmination of Einstein’s critique of the orthodox Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics and was designed to show that the theory is incomplete.’From ‘Quantum Entanglement and Information’, Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy’ 2011
1935: Physicists Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky and Nathan Rosen publish a paper in Physical Review asking “Can quantum-mechanical description of physical reality be considered complete?” Their answer: no.
The same year, in the journal Naturwissenschaften, Erwin Schrödinger coins the term Verschränkung, meaning “entanglement,” and develops his famous thought experiment of a cat that exists simultaneously in a state of being alive and dead.
1952: Building on earlier work by French physicist Louis de Broglie, theoretical physicist David Bohm suggests a deterministic interpretation of quantum theory that incorporates “hidden variables.” He claims that the initial state of a system, like a particle’s position, can determine its future evolution.’

Part 1 – Andy 10:00 Sunday morning
Andy closed the door behind him. He leaned back against the panelled wood and exhaled
slowly. It had been a long night and he
needed sleep but he badly wanted to see Aunt Jane. When settled and calm, he bent forward and
slipped out of his Louboutins. Even
though he loved being in heels and his Loubous were incredibly comfortable, his
toes and ankles were screaming after hours of wear.
Aunt Jane’s house was a necessary refuge. He needed to wash, get his things and change
back into his jeans, t-shirt and trainers that he’d left home in yesterday
afternoon. After all, he could hardly
go back to his parents’ home in a revealing red latex dress, flaming red hair
extensions and heels. They might be used
to his little ways, but they still didn’t quite know all that his mother’s
friend Jane had been doing with him over the last few months. They just knew that he was very attached to
his ‘Auntie’ as he’d called Jane ever since he was a toddler.
“Ow!” Andy yelled out in pain. His bare left foot had stood on a set of
keys. Aunt Jane’s keys. Jane hadn’t answered when he rang the bell
and he’d needed to use his key to her house.
Aunt Jane’s white dress was cast down on the floor as if she’d stripped
as soon as she’d got inside. Further up the hall, Andy could see an array of
shopping bags no doubt containing some of the things Jane had bid for and
purchased last night. He spied his bag
of clothes mingled with them. But where was his Aunt? Her house seemed incredibly quiet. Maybe
she’d gone upstairs to her bed to wait for him and had dozed off?
“Aunt Jane,” Andy called out. There was no reply. “Aunt Jane!” Louder this time and his voice echoed in the
airy hallway and reverberated up the stairs.
Andy was intrigued. The burglar
alarm was not set but the front door had been locked. Andy was intrigued and a little scared. Had the house been burgled? Was there an intruder in the house? What if Aunt Jane had been hurt? He knew he had to search the house. He went to the elephant’s foot to pick out a
walking stick in case he needed to defend himself. He found his hand was drawn to a leather
handled riding crop. He had a certain
affinity for it. He knew how painful it
could be since it had been very effective in teaching him to comply with his
Auntie’s wishes when his training was first began. Now she only used it occasionally to
tenderise him before some of their evening trysts. She said she found the dark streaks of his
mascara stained tears made him he look even more appealing
Andy softly padded across the hallway and slowly climbed the
stairs in his bare feet. He deliberately
missed the creaking step. He realised
that he must look ridiculous. He had a
riding crop in one hand but still held the ankle straps of his red Loubous in
the other. He was hardly going to look
threatening to any burglar. He put down
one shoe and held the other by the sole.
Andy looked at the shoe. He knew its dagger heel could be nasty since
he’d trodden on toes at dances past but the violent shaking of the metal spike
made him realise his own nervousness.
Andy crossed the thickly carpeted landing. Still no sound. He was about to open the first bedroom door
when he had an idea. Softly he tiptoed
downstairs again. He tucked himself
beneath the sensor in the hall and set the burglar alarm. There were sensors in every room so if there
was movement, they should pick up signs of any intruder.
Andy waited. He
couldn’t believe that a burglar wouldn’t hear the loud pounding of his
heart. A bit of rational reflection made
him realise that a burglar would have heard him enter the house. He felt cold droplets fall on his toes. He shivered.
His latex was no longer warm but seemed cold and clammy with the sweat
liquefying and running down his body. Five nerve wracking minutes went by. Silence.
Andy reset the alarm and again tiptoed upstairs, riding crop
in one hand and raised dagger heel in the other. Gently he pushed open each bedroom door. No sign of movement or intruder. Bravely he went round each room entering and
checking that there was no-one there. No
Aunt Jane. Upstairs was deserted. Andy’s heart pounded again even harder: they
must be downstairs.
After inching down the stairs with rising trepidation, Andy
again pushed open each door in turn.
No-one. Finally he opened the
door to the dining room. It was
empty. He walked round the polished
rosewood table where, only a few weekends ago, he had been the table
decoration. He shivered not with fear
this time but with fond memories of the cherries, chocolate sauce and ice-cream. Just the kitchen left. The kitchen door was slightly ajar. A fly buzzed past Andy’s head. It seemed that there was nothing to worry
about there but then he glimpsed something on the floor.

"Gulp" great suspense here, dear! What happened to our darling's dear auntie? (a little nervous about what sweet Andy will find on the kitchen floor!)

Thank you for the comment, kitty. Please you're intrigued. The entangled nature of the story may mean it will take time to find out. :-)
DeleteA tantalizing tidbit to tempt our imagination. A very nice start to set the mood. What awaits out hero-ine as he enters the kitchen. So many possibilities. Looking forward to your next teasing installment.
